Homesglen Activation Project

The project involved an upgrade to a shared bike/pedestrian path to encourage more walking and cycling between the Holmesglen shopping strip and the local neighbourhood.  A new public space was created including an urban park with a rest and conversation area, a multi-generation playspace, shade trees and garden.  Elements included a bouldering wall, bike maintenance station, bike racks and shaded spectator seating areas.  Artwork was also installed to prevent graffiti and create a visual feature for the site.  The project created a vast transformation from what was an unsightly space previously.
